EXTRACT: CH 11 Gravity

Now Ravi was late for Joseph’s Barmitzvah lesson. He checked his watch to dismiss himself from Wassie's conversation. "Wassie, I have to go." 

Wassie nodded back.

Ravi slipped the book in his pocket and disappeared from the Shul. He found himself racing towards Joseph’s apartment, not because he hated being late (which he did), but because he secretly wanted to see the forbidden Shanti fruit. He found himself outside his body as if it was willing to corrupt itself and his mind, as if possessed, in any manner to be in her presence. He did not feel in control nor out – it was simply a compulsion.
